On 14 October 2021 a guided tour of the company Bühler AG took place in Uzwil. The affiliate organisation Agri-Food Alumni arranged the visit.

If online only, please sweeten it! Well, one of the whiskies we tasted at the third online tasting on 21 September 2021 actually received the unanimous rating “honey”. However, already in the first two tastings, the whole enormous spectrum of whisky tastes spread out - albeit only individually at home, it had its own special charm.

ETH alumna Elena Roos obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Health Sciences at ETH. However, she is most well known for her orienteering successes. After a year with no international events, in 2021 she has delivered many more outstanding performances, including her first individual medal at a European championship. As well as being a top athlete, Elena works in performance diagnostics and as an athletics trainer.

On 7 October, the Chapter Luxembourg Alumni invited to the monthly regulars’ table at the Brasserie de Kirchberg, 193, rue de Kirchberg, 1558 Luxembourg. Ten alumni accepted the invitation.

Monte San Giorgio represents a unique geological area. Its Middle Triassic fossils are world famous for being very well preserved. Chapter Ticino Alumni set out on September 4 to learn more about the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Saving money has lost its appeal a long time ago. Investments are the new saving. There are many possibilities to do this. Olga Miler, co-founder of SmartPurse and Michael Weiss, independent financial advisor for SME, held a presentation about investments by shares on 29 September 2021. Between the two of them, they have 35 years practical experience in the world of finance. They gave some advice to future investors on  how to get started.
