This year, ETH alumna Stefanie Zbinden sat on the committee organising the launch of the first European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI). Stefanie gained both her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Mathematics at ETH. This September, she started her PhD at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. She talks to us about why informatics is still a subject area very much dominated by men and the tools which can be deployed to improve access for young women.

Chapter Zurich Alumni
On 7 December 2021, Chapter Zurich had the opportunity to gain insights into the architectural culture of the new century. In small groups, the participants experienced a guided tour through the premises of the offices @theBranch.
LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura
Chapter Ticino Alumni
On 13 November, we had the pleasure to visit LAC, Lugano Arte e Cultura. Since 2015, it is the largest cultural centre of Canton of Ticino located on the banks of Lake Lugano. The LAC is surrounded by historic buildings of the city of Lugano, such as the former Grand Hotel Palace and the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli which was part of a Franciscan monastery founded in 1490.
