In connection with the10- year anniversary of the HST Alumni, an ‘Alumni of the month’ will be presented in order to introduce different areas of the HST degree program. The first is Gudrun Einarsdottir from Island who switched to the ETH in 2014 for her master’s degree, specializing in neuroscience. Since completing her degree in 2017 she has been working as Hardware Engineer for VirtaMed AG in Schlieren.

On 7 December 2017 the Process Alumni visited the Christenguss AG in Bergdietikon in canton Aargau. The director Florian Christen introduced the participants to their hightech fabrication processes. One of the mottos of the Giesserei Christenguss AG: «Through innovation and comprehensive services to success».

On 30 November 2017 the Math Phys Alumni met for their annual Math Phys lecture at the ETH Zürich main building. Based on their continual lecture series they invited a speaker from the private sector as well as someone from academia to speak on the changing technologies in the power market.

On 18 January 2018, the OG Baden Alumni met at the Villa Boveri. President Jürg Suhner was delighted to have been able to invite Philip Mosimann, a top-class expert from the Swiss industrial landscape, as the event’s speaker. The former CEO of Bucher Industries and president of the board of directors, who is also the vice president of Swissmem, presented an interesting overview of the current and future challenges and opportunities of the Swiss industrial sector.

Mid November the members of the AIV Alumni met for their annual fondue dinner. Following the fun evening, they are already looking forward to the next such event.

On 31 November 2017, the HSG Alumni Club invited their members to the traditional Christmas cheese fondue event. This year all members of the Cercle Académique Suisse were also invited.
