Jeannine Pilloud becomes the new president of the ETH Alumni Association

Jeannine Pilloud was elected as the new president of the ETH Alumni Association at yesterday's assembly of delegates. Walter Gränicher, who has been the president for the last ten years, has decided not to stand for re-election. Regula Meili has also resigned as a board member. Two new members were also elected to the board: Felix Graf, CEO of NZZ, and Hana Disch, a self-employed consultant. The board plans to further develop the ETH Alumni Association over the next few years.

What does the university of the future look like? ETH alumni and alumnae visited the exhibition in the main hall of ETH Zurich on 27 February 2023. Head of the Strategic Foresight Hub Chris Luebkeman and Johannes Heck, from the Office of the President, guided the group through the exhibits.

What a way to start the year! Last Thursday evening in Baden, ex-ski racer Dominique Gisin told gripping and entertaining anecdotes about her sporting career. She was joined by her sports psychologist Dr. Christian Marcolli, who accompanied Gisin through the highs and lows of her career. The event was jointly organized by the OG Baden Alumni and the ETH Alumni Association.

On 1 October 2022, Dr. Francesca Fuoli became the latest member of the ETH Alumni Association team, where she is the new Community Engagement Manager. She is responsible for strengthening the ETH Alumni Community in Switzerland as well as in our international chapters. She will develop best-practice approaches to boost membership engagement.

First Assembly of Delegates 2021 via zoom

On 3 May 2021, over 60 participants met for the first Assembly of Delegates 2021. According to byelaws, elections of the board have to take place every other year. This is why votes and elections took place electronically via a voting tool.

On 20 November 2020, roughly 40 participants met to the Assembly of Delegates 2020. Because of the Corona crises, no events take place at ETH. This is why it took place online for the first time. The delegates took the votes in writing before the meeting. Because the Assembly of Delegates was cancelled in May, there were a few points on the agenda.
