Heinz Mäder studied and received his doctorate in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich. He's been involved with the ETH Alumni for around 50 years. For a number of years, he was the president of Zurich Chapter so shouldered particular responsibility given the city's large number of former students. In November 2019, the delegates honoured his work and made him an honorary member of the ETH Alumni. He speaks here about what his work in general and the ETH Alumni in particular mean to him.

Approximately 10 HST Alumni met to the second virtual X-Change on 16 July. A quiz about Antarctica served as an icebreaker. The participants were able to discuss freely in groups after that. The virtual rooms were used for a lively exchange.

On 12 July 2020, ETH Alumni Chapter Shanghai hold a very interesting webinar together with Chinese Science Club in Zurich. Both of the two speakers graduated from ETH Zurich. The following report focuses on the speakers' topics and illustrates what the attending alumni learned about their research.

The annual general meeting took place online at the end of June. There was a little surprise for members who registered in time.

Jürg Federer held a webinar on 9 July 2020 about management of creative intelligence. By means of conversations with participants, he demonstrated the meaning of creative intelligence. The webinar did not follow a linear script. During a creative identification phase, structures produce nonstarters according to Jürg Federer. Judgements are reserved for the ensuing innovation process. Roughly 20 Alumni embarked on this adventure.
