On Saturday, 19 September 2020, the third tournament of the Golf group Alumni took place in Vuissens in the Canton of Fribourg. A small group of eight golfers started in two flights of four under perfect conditions regarding the golf course and weather.

Gabrielle Lods studied Chemical Engineering at EPFL and she completed her Master in Management, Technology and Economy. Now she runs her own project and brand the “Green Condom Club”, which produces non-toxic contraceptives. As part of this project, Gabrielle committed herself to an open and honest discourse on sexuality, including an online blog, as well as transparency regarding the ingredients and conditions under which her condoms are manufactured.

Dear ETH Alumni, We hope you are doing well. This year, we are introducing a new format which invites ETH Alumni of the Singapore Chapter to introduce themselves, their work and their ETH background. The first edition features our board member Hortense LE FERRAND.

A small group of alumni went to the Technorama on Tuesday, 22nd September, to visit the current exhibition of ETH’s digital platform. The competence centre in Winterthur counts as one of the biggest science centres in Europe. A representative of the office of ETH’s president, a scientist and the centre’s director gave an insight into their daily work.

Ten alumni met for the first regulars’ table after the initial Corona interventions and enjoyed a unhurried dinner together in Baden.

Since one can remember being a member Chapter Basel Alumni, the Sommerstamm is a fix part of the yearly programme. Every August, towards the end of the summer holidays, the alumni meet at a carefully chosen location for a rather special dinner.
