ETH Meets Boston und das ETH Alumni Chapter Neuengland trifft die ETH
Das ETH Alumni Chapter Neuengland (ETH Alumni NEC) hatte die Gelegenheit, sich mit den Delegierten der ETH während des 2019 ETH Meets Boston-Anlasses zu vernetzen. Der Anlass fand im neu entwickelten «Vibrant Seaport»- Stadtteil von Boston statt. Ungefähr 80 Personen aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft rund um Boston, einschliesslich 15 ETH Alumni, versammelten sich, um akademische Vorträge über die neuesten Überlegungen über das Thema ÜBERDENKEN der Wirkstoffforschung zu lauschen.

Alumni Chapter New England baking Grittibänze at swissbäkers
The Alumni Chapter New England decided to celebrate the Advent holiday with a visit to swissbäkers in Boston. Swissbäkers is a renowned bakery in the Boston area founded by Thomas Stohr, who taught the Alumni about baking Grittibänze.
In life little can be planned
ETH Alumnus Dean Glettig got a chance that many ETH students are dreaming of: He is doing his Postdoc at the Langer Lab in Boston, the biggest lab in biomedical engineering. His background from the ETH still has a strong influence on his approach to research and his aspiration to understand fundamental mechanism. In the following interview we talk with Dean about his time in the US, what he would recommend other Swiss students who would like to study in the US and about his plans for the future.
